Support / Re: Workaround for scaling issues on some monitors!

I love you so much

Changed it to 1900x1200  and it works fine.  I've literally only looked at it for a couple of seconds but there's some screenies to show it working

Looks like there's a bit of alaising on some of the background sprites when you're at the higher resolutions.

Support / Graphical Aberations on widescreen monitor when fullscreen
« on: December 08, 2007, 05:19:53 am »
Firstly, I notice you don't have an option for 1600x1200  :(

But trying to play with 1280x960 or 1400x1050 produces weird graphical effects if I play with them full screen.  (Using any nVidia scaling option, although playing the game in a window resolves this issue)

Here are some example screen shots from 1280x960

and 1400x1050

Also, I can't buy the game at the moment as the server is not responding :(

I wonder if people would be upset about clipping the screen. There was a huge stink when gamers found Bioshock was clipped.

(although personally it wouldn't make much difference to me either way)

Personally, I always prefer any sort of widescreen option (even when it's buggy, or the hud doesn't match up), so a cropped widescreen mode is certainly a great start if that could be worked into a future patch or update.

Hi, thanks for the speedy reply.  Just goes to show how little I know about game development!  Still picking this up on day 1.

Fortunately $30 is peanuts to the rest of the world.  Just make sure you try and promote your game with lots of international games magazines so the rest of the world can benefit from your misguided dollar.

Hi, I used the search function to find a thread about widescreen from March  (link).  I was just wondering whether their had been a change recently to enable a widescreen mode.  It seems a huge shame for a game with a focus on it's beautiful art style to then completely screw up the presentation of the game by only offering it in 4:3.   (Yes, games in 4:3 are ugly and stupid!)

3 days!
