haha Glamador.  I am there with you.....actually me and my GF just started Diablo 2 again to go through some classes we never had time to try.   I'm excited for D3  :)

I'm not sure I would say that Diablo 2 is my FAVOURITE game of all time but it is one of the best.  Gameplay was always a lot of fun.

In my opinion, the best use of this form is that it's immune to any objects with spikes.  Also, there is a certain mini boss too that requires this form.

Great suggestions.  I started working on Naija's home last night:

Naija's Home WIP - This gives you an idea of what the process looks like.

So far that photoshop file is at 40 layers and has a canvas size of 7000x9000.  The PSD file is 108MBs so far.

I really want to do Home Waters but the background will make it difficult.  If I can find a way to just get the background images, I can manually put in static ones after stiching the walls together.

I'll put together a 1680x1050 version of the above image later today Zam.

I have uploaded a more centered version of the above image to willhostforfood (Thanks Xia).

I will continue to add more images to the first post and add any other ones that are posted.

Zam: What resolution are you looking for?  haha it looks like I offset the caves to the left a little  :)  I will fix that when I get home!

Xia:  Thanks for the link!  I will try posting some there tonight and add some links to this Thread.

Any other areas I should do next?  The areas with the parallax scrolling effect in the background are harder to do but I will see what I can make.

Inspired by http://desktopgaming.com/, I wanted to make some Aquaria desktops to take advantage of the crazy single/dual monitor resolutions that are out there....right now I have a dual setup with a 1900x1200 and a 1050x1680 (monitor turned vertical).

For now, I have included just a 1900x1200 wallpaper I made this weekend.

If anyone else out there likes these types of desktops, feel free to leave a suggestion of which area should be made next.  I am planning on doing one of Naija's Home next for my 1050x1680 screen.  Also, leave what resolution you currently have and if I have time, I will put together a few at different resolutions.

Photobucket lowered the image to 1024*640 so I will find a new place to post these but this should give you an idea of what the desktops are like

*UPDATE:
Here ya Go:
Starting Cave: 1900x1200

if you just idle with Li out, Naija and Li will hug and then you can swim around like when you are on a sea horse.

This boss is a little tricky.  Just remember that if you are hitting hit and he's not turning Red, you aren't damaging him.

When you know how to beat him, you can do it in about 1-2 minutes.

There are many threads about this boss in particular...just do a quick search.

The ice veil is connected to the a place that is very very very very dark  :)  it is connected by an ice cave  :)  and you need a way of turning very very very transparent to get to this cave of ice :)

hope those hints don't confuse you even more  :-P

Style of video games are just like tastes in food....everyone has different likes and dislikes.

I play all sorts of genres of games but have grown bored of the mainstream titles.  Since Bioshock was mentioned, this particular title has held about 3 hours of my attention.  Bioshock is in no way a bad game but the linear gameplay just doesn't do it for me anymore.  Even how Bioshock has amazing visuals and spot on controls, it fails to capture my attention.  Everyone is different.

The mithalas boss did have me stumped for quite some time.  But I also liked that.  Think of it this way: You are exploring the vast ocean in Aquaria.  You come across something that seems impassible.  Now lets say you try beating the boss a few times and fail.  (about 15 deaths for me) And then you actually take a break from the game and think about the problem.  This particular gameplay is next to non-existent in games today.  Take Call of Duty 4.   The second you stopped to look at your surroundings, an mark comes up in your HUD rushing you to go on.

I'm not sure if anyone played Zak & Wiki for the Wii but this game has been an failure in the sales charts because the puzzles make you think.  The graphics were too cute to appeal to the mass GTA crowd of gamers and the puzzles were too hard for the gamers who actually picked it up.

Game companies have setup the future of gaming by holding the hand of gamers.  It's quite annoying.

On another note, after reading this whole thread, i did not see anyone mention that there is a form in Aquaria that is resistant to spikes.....it makes it a lot easier (like 100% easier) to get to the sun temple boss.
