General / My thoughts on this game
« on: August 02, 2009, 07:41:43 am »
one of the best game I've played this year....yea pretty much
i know you must be thinking if I've been gaming long enough to know what it is a good game. Well yes i am,been playing since i was 6 (21 years old now), ms dos, windows 95 games, playstation 1,2,3 and i also play other consoles with my friends.
So im just gonna give a lil insight on this game -
Graphics - It's no question that hard work has been put into the details of this game. Everything is pretty much solid and spot on. At first I felt like i was playing some cheap flash game, or at least thats what I thought before playing it, but I was wrong. The colours and the graphics were pretty well done, eye catching and eye candies lol
Overall - its a solid job 4/5
Sound - Ok I might go a bit tough on this one, not only that I'm a musician but because I love music and I've been listening to a lot of them. Not as in like I know a lot of bands or artist but I've paid close attention to music now a days that I can pick and say "This song has the same chord progression of this" and so on. Now as I went to the prettyful Menu screen. After listening to 6 seconds of the Title song, I already knew what the rest were going to sound like, in terms of chord progression. In fact, all of the soundtracks are based on the "4 chord progression". I'm terrible at music theory btw and I use my ears so I can't really explain it in music theory. But the type of chord progression im talking about are the ones they used on the radio a lot. Pop songs in general have them.
So having to hear the same chord progression through out the game but having different instruments and melody playing through, makes me go
a bit. However, I give much credit who ever made the music. I'll be a bit tough on this one but the way the songs were produced, is unforgettable. 3.5/5
Controls - Controls were simple, it might be hard to get used to singing the songs but other wise it didnt take too long. Mouse and Keyboard are definitely the key to this game. Other wise good luck on using keyboard only. 4/5
Story - Its been a while where a game had a protagonist trying to regain its memory by exploring new paths and new level. Slowly discovering its terrible and cherished past. Curiosity may leave you thinking and wanting to explore more. Other than that, I cant really say anymore lol But to say the least, it was simple and appropriate for the game. 4/5
To conclude my insights and just forget about Math, I'm just gonna give this game a big ass 4.5/5
I like games where it leaves me saying after playing "well its been quite a journey", this game is one of them.
K now I want

Congratulations to all of the people who worked on this game
