Your best bet would be the infamous "you-know-what-letter" phone. Aquaria has already been ported to a very similar platform, so that shouldn't be to much of a problem. Though I still doubt it will have the same immersive gameplay as when playing it on a 20'' screen.

It helps a lot if you can find a way to dispel the darkness. If only you could store a bit of sunlight and take it with you...

By the way you can't actually kill an anemone (get rid of) in this game. Have fun!

Well, you can, actually,. There are two methods
1)  Just bind and drag a big rock behind you, and swing it around to hit the anemone.
2) Use beast form and do bite attacks. (this one is a bit difficult, but not impossible, to pull off without taking damage)

Yeah I think I realized I need fish form to get past it.
Nature form actually.

Li doesn't seem to respond correctly. It said if I want to leave him somewhere that I should interact with him.

Interact with the helm, this can be done at two places:
1) Li's cave.
2) Naija's home. (below the save crystal)

Also, if you want to control Li's attacking behavior, singing his song will toggle attack mode on an off, except when you are separated, then it just teleports him towards you.

Gameplay / Re: "Deeper than the Abyss"? "The source of the light"?

You need to collect all 3 of her lost memories, then you'll get the full ending.

This full ending then leaves some room for a possible sequel, but that doesn't mean a sequel is actually going to happen.

If you've collected all 3 lost memories, the game will show a message that the other ending has been unlocked. in the final ending, you will be given back control over Naija after defeating the final boss, and you must swim in a spiral towards the middle, where she will have a final confrontation with the shadowy figure Mia.

One memory is in Mithalas city, you'll get it once you've found the kitchen there.

One memory is in the giant water bubble above the sun temple, you'll need to go through the sun temple to the top to get it (not via the sun worm, but by jumping from gear to gear)

one memory is in the Abyss, you'll need to drag the pearl out of the whale and into the pearl holder more towards the ceiling of the middle room in the abyss.

I don't. Never needed one.

Then you are asking for trouble.
One day, you'll wish you had a back-up.

USB sticks are cheap these days.

(re)writable optical discs are  cheaper.

And what sane computer owner doesn't have a back-up plan anyway?

And why can't you just create a back a up?

copy the thing to an other disk, maybe along with the preference file?

@ prestart

While that hidden room is in the kelp forest, it isn't in the specific area the OP talked about.

Actually, I don't think the OP acquired nature form. His map does not show the bit where mother nature hides. He appears the have missed the entrance to her cave.

Unless you have an old version of Aquaria, there should be a glowing pulsing marker on the map that shows a suggested location. It first points to the song cave, then the energy temple, then Mithallas cathedral. (though it's not a bad idea to go for fish and nature form before beast form)

That said, exploring is a big part of the game, I know that the lack of direction can be a little bit annoying to some people, but that was actually done on purpose.

OK, It worked, I did it in 6 minutes, and several tries.  (I'm not all that good at Simon either) Though a portion of those 6 minutes was spend swimming to and from the save point, so it wasn't as bad as it sounds.

savewithcookpot.zip

Luck is involved in that some of the randomly generated strings of tones are easier to remember than others I guess.

Still, it is true that the game Simon basically just tests your short term memory. If you haven't trained it, then you'll have a hard time.
If you haven't trained your leg muscles, you'll have a hard time winning a race too.

Edit: I've been ninjad!   >:D

The only tip I can give you is that if you hold down the control key, the song tones will remain visible, you can then move your mouse cursor without having to hold down the mouse key. This helped me.

As for your saved game question. I'm willing to do it.

Though I'm using the Mac version, and I do not know if the saved games are compatible between versions (I see no reason why not, but for some reason they aren't in some other  games I've played)

I didn't mean to say that people who complain about games focusing to much on pretty graphics are wrong, I  just pointed out the irony of it.
