Games / Aquaria Linux HowTo?
« on: August 06, 2010, 05:51:35 pm »
Hi,

I recently found a Linux version of Aquaria, without content, on GPL licence. I've downloaded it, built, and copied what I considered a content from my windows version to Linux one. It works, but I often find squares that looks like some of the content drawings (stones etc.) are missing. What am I doing wrong? I am using an installer Aquaria111.2008.12.12.exe as content source.

Please help.

Regards,
akuda

I'm Andrew "akuda" Skalski, 20 yo, computer science student, programmer and indie game scene wannabe.

Funny thing: in age of 20 I decided to learn how to dance.

I report the same issue as mentioned at the beginning of the thread - to me it looks like if the double buffering (in openGL) was disabled in code, and background would be redrawn on-screen while being updated.

I'm an indie game coder too, just without any stunning achievements :).

My conf:
Centrino 1.8, Radeon Mobile 9700 128 (M11), 1.5 GB RAM.
I double-checked on OEM and most recent drivers.
