Great great game.  I am having some problems with in on Vista/Steam, but I absolutely love it.

I am having this same problem... crash to a white screen seemingly at random.  Plays fine for a while, then pukes out to a white screen.  Very frustrating.

Vista, Steam, NVidia 8800 GTX.

I have done all the usual, including everything described in this thread.  No change.  Any word on the issue?

Gameplay / Hard time starting out

Hmm, I'm having a hard time starting out... I'm not much of a gamer.

Anyway, from the start I made it to Home Waters, Naija's Home, and The Song Cave, but I don't know what to do.  Every passage is blocked by rock barriers or walls.  I must be missing something, a control or an instruction or something.

I did find a wall with an open-mouthed statue... and I think I found a pearl that should go there, but I can't interact with either.  I also found a giant monster stuck to the ceiling, but I am at a loss of what to do.

Please help a noobie!
