Support / Downloading
« on: January 31, 2008, 07:29:40 am »
I get the feeling like the answer is probably here somewhere, but I recently formatted my HDD and now I am trying to re-download the game.  Plimus or whatever is saying to me that I can't because of some time isssue or download cap. What to do? Otherwise I have to go and transer it off another computer which isn't even hooked up, or just steal the HDD from it, but I feel like there's a better solution.

Um, so does that mean it's done? If we get the most up to date patch we can change to widescreen resolution? I love the game, but I kinda stopped playing it because Naija looked all fat, and I figured that wasn't right.

Weird, the storyline is about all I do like about Halo.

I would agree for Halo 1, but it really degraded after that. I think Bungie was like, "Wait, succesful shooters don't need stories!" ... or bots...  ::)

I suggest a merger of the two.  ^-^

Yeah I feel the same way. Plus I used to get them emailed to me and then they switched URLs or whatever and I never bothered to sign up again and they never bothered to do anything about it either so...  ::)

I've only seen the first two. The first one was really good, but mostly just because of Johnny Depp. In general the writeing and the acting I would say was a little sub-par, although the music definitely wasn't too bad. The second just seemed like drawn out rubbish to me. Just my opinion though. I've got no intentions of watching this third installment.

Games / Re: Then and now.

I think specifically over the last few years gaming has become more and more commonplace among what I will refer to as "normal" people. Where as in the past it seemed more of a nerdy thing to do now we see things like the Wii and games like Guitar Hero, Gears of War, and Halo being huge fads among many people.  In Japan the number 2 thing girls want after an iPod is a DS, although that is Japan  ^-^ But even here it starts being that gaming is bigger industry than anything else, movies and TV included.

And with that I think we start seeing a lot more unoriginal crap, but at the same time those unoriginal games that sell a billion copies might be paying for many of the games that we play that really do have artistic merit.  I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing for gaming to grow continually like it is, but I guess you can't change it even if it is horrible.  Still it's awesome to see great looking indie games like this emerge among this gigantic empire of gaming.

Mostly I listen to alternative/rock type stuff.

Belle & Sebastian is <3

Also love like Radiohead and Cake and some other bands. Not usually harder stuff, but if its good. I find that I never listen to enough new music.

I have nothing but praise: from the beautiful 2D artwork, the amazingly epic music, what looks like a deep story, and brilliant voice acting this trailer is definitely what pulled me into this game. I haven't been this excited for a game in quite  while.

Yeah, that's about the only thing that Aquaria could suck on.

'Lo, I'm Patrick. I like games and music and stuff. I'm from Saskatoon, Canada. Aquaria looks super amazing; I've been sort of looking at it since GDC, but I hadn't heard of any of the stuff you guys did before that. I'm still going under the assumption that my PC will actually be able to run Aqauria when it come out.  ^-^

I went to Japan about a month ago, that's sort of a fun fact. Definitely plan on going back there as soon as possible.
