So lunia has matured out of beta into a real game.  It was quite fun actually as it was a stage based beat-em-up rather than a traditional mmorpg.  Ironically, I think the worst part of it was the online bit, which made it quite laggy and jumpy; it would have been fine if it didn't need to be online. and the translation was in very endearing engrish (from korean).  Looking at the updated site it seems to have been thoroughly polished, it now looks well worth a check (even though they added a character seemingly for the sole reason to complete the standard fighter-mage-thief-cleric formula).

man, the Ys series!  I've seen some hawt videos of them on youtube but none of them seem to have reached my green and pleasant land :(  There seem to be a whole lot of amazing-looking games that never seemed to leave japan for some stupid reason...

Man, this is sweet!  Two things though: The track Endingpart doesn't seem to do anything, and I don't think I've heard the prometheus track before.  Could it be the secret one?

edit: OH.  MY. GOSH.  Superflyremix.  Best thing since sliced bread.

the sad thing is, by today's standards the graphics (specifically the render of Duke in the screenshot) are very behind the times.  I never expected to see it so polygonial... also, what's with game trailers these days refusing to give much insight into how the game might actually play?

I am often proud to say I'm one of the few (if only) people able to win the game.  Not many people (i.e. nobody) agree with me and my right to make such a claim but anyone who argues in that direction is very silly indeed.

I win.

So I got to the sunken city.  Followed the path all the way to where there are song symbols on the wall and the path ahead is blocked.  It seems I have to sing that song but wherever I do it just comes up with a symbol saying it's a failed song...what do I do?

The deceptively easy thing about it is that it actually has relatively low health - so it seems anyway as you're able to get a fair few hits in through his pattern unlike certain other bosses.  As he's bouncing around get to the top of the cave, chug any energy form+ food and smash right-click for all you're worth, it should go down surprisingly quickly.

It should be noted that it is not actually necessary to have the spirit form in order to get the walker baby, as the walker blocking it is killable like all walkers.  Exactly why spirit crystals are there then is a mystery...

thirded for the starfish.  However they also get my vote for coolest enemy design.  I mean, ninja starfish?  Nothing beats that (besides the bosses, as well as the turtles with removable shells whose arses get set on fire...)  The mini-nautilus are pretty annoying too.  Also, is there any difference between the orange starfish and the odd pink one?

Gameplay / a little lost...[spoilers...]

Ok, so here's where I'm at.  After beating Mithala and getting beast form I decided to follow the story and go to the surface.  I'm not sure as to what to do next though.  I've explored the turtle cave, saw a crown in a bubble up above there but couldn't reach it even with beast form.  The giant turtle yawned and looked a  little ill but didn't show hints of curing.  I looked around the sun temple; couldn't go through the dark bit, found out how to raise the water level but couldn't go any further.  In the big chamber leading to the temple, I got through the dark passage, wall-jumped up the chimney and got to the top, where i found a large bird which I shot at, wherein it flew away and dropped an egg (which I didn't get as I jumped off back into the water accidentally...).  I I tried to jump from there to the opposite side of the chamber to no avail.  I haven't yet gone to the kelp forest or anywhere past the giant snail place.  What am I missing?  Thanks in advance
