This game is fabulous. just want to say thankyou for a great experience and keep up the good work.
-
Thanks! :D
-
I also agree it's really great.
It's great to see a developer who actually pushes 2D Gaming. Most 2D Developers still treat games as if they were in the 16-Bit era still. So thanks for pushing the dimension and making an awesome game. :)
Though could I ask a question please?
-
Maybe it would be wise to actually add the question to your post, and as far as I know you can ask anything as long as it's a normal question.

:( I'm sorry.
But I was just wondering when the next project BitBlot is working on will be revealed. (As in "Soon" or "A While").

Well I heard that Derek and Alec discussed about making a new game, one that I believe that doesn't have anything to do with Aquaria.
And I know that Alec said that they did "plan" for a sequel but they don't know if they're ever going to make it. I hope they do though. That's all I know.
And no need to be sorry, would've just been more handy. ^_^
-
And a thank you from me too. Played the game for only an hour and i am blown away. Congrats on a a great achievement :D

haha, I played this game for 3 times now xD
I'm lovin' it~~~ ;D

I hope they do make a sequel. Aquaria is the first open-ended action adventure game since.....Zelda on the NES? I'd like to see them evolve the genre once more and put some polish. Though the game is great there are some rough edges around the game, but that's really normal for a new take on a genre.
I'm personally very excited to see what they'll do next. :)

I say let the big publishers that have to worry about quarterly earnings and stock holders hash out sequels. Bit Blot should continue to be creative and move on to their next idea.
-
My 2 cents:
Right now I don't think we could handle working on a sequel, because we really just feel like working on something new.
That said, the sequel would be quite different from the original and involve a number of new ideas and game play concepts, so I don't think it would feel like a rehash either.
I also think it would benefit the sequel if we waited a while and came back to do it at a later point in our lives when we have a different perspective on things. (no idea when that would be) It would be interesting thematically, we could kind of challenge our old ideas.
-
you make it, I buy and play it. it's a good system.
-
Well, to have a sequel rehash there are enough modders out there who are already working on cool mods. :)
So I think it'll be great if the someday coming sequel has a new style.
