Title: SOS!!!!!! Sound error
Post by: Cormundo on January 13, 2008, 12:14:09 am
Ok im new, so lemme start...

I am on the body and am going back to get everything for my final approach. I go to the simon says boss (I think there might be 2, to clarify I am going for the extra cooking space one) and are about half an hour into it suddenly WHAM my notes stop. I now have trouble knowing what he is singing cause all I can hear is the background noise! So I go and check here are the thingsa I can hear:

Music

Ambiant noise

Swimming swoosh jumps speeds, but its quiter (dunno what to call it, you know where you go fast by cling on the edge of the screen?)

Things I cant:

Notes

Enemy noise

Pain (I think)

Hitting things

Dunno about voices...nijahs kinda quiet.
A strange thing is shots and explosions. When in energy form and shooting, when the shots hit, they make a very very very quiet crackling noise that sounds like a tiny little ghost exploding inside a TV with no service with the sound turned down to one. Same for enmy shots.

I checked the sound stuff, all turned up to max, and Im playing on headxphones, so in conclusion: what do I do? :'(

P.S.: Please hurry, I have nothing else to do but wikipedia and google earth!

Uhm, I didn't listen to these notes at all, I looked at the monster and it's 8 directions. But I guess the only thing you can do is restart, or save and restart, but be sure to do it in a new slot so that when it's really a bug you don't write over it.
Or you could try looking at the options to see if the SFX is turned up.

Check volume levels in the options screen.

Update your sound card drivers to the latest, if you haven't.

I was gonna say...  my headphone wires are frayed and I have similar sound issues from time to time.

But I just have to ask: "a tiny little ghost exploding inside a TV with no service with the sound turned down to one".  What the hell??

Why did you do that in the first place now? Also that that has nothing to do with it anymore. Oh, and you're gonna die in a week now.

Don't worry though, it's always a week  :D

I had somehow the same problems with the sound and headphones in the past. It my be because of damaged or fairly twisted cable, or the connections beetwen plugs in speakers/headphones. Try to move cables a bit. Sometimes it works, though it won't help to much. But it's always better to try than buy a new stuff  ;)

My best headphones. I had broken few weeks ago. I know that pain  :-\ ...

I had it with my mp4 player, cable was loose and you could see the wiring under the rubber/plastic, after a while it broke somehow and I lost vocals from my music. Pretty awesome, except I like to sing with the songs when alone and that's hard without helping vocals. xD
Oh and correction about the week seeing that you posted that a day ago, so 6 days left for you. :D
