That you can actually use the spinning to suck items to you? I've just discovered this apparently and spinning creates a sort of vortex that draws in nearby items. Useful when you're trying to move quickly or going after a falling item. This is probably done best with using the r key to spin.
I didn't know what thread would be good to mention this in, so I decided to make a new one. Although I'm sure others have discovered this, but not everybody.
Anyways, to make this thread an useful one and not spam, people can post interesting facts or strange things that you have noticed, or even different ways of doing something (I'm not talking about boss battles here, although some minibosses are ok, such as the Sea Dragon)

I ate some Rainbow Soup... it was "Trippy" 8)

has anyone else had a "bad trip" on rainbow soup? when i took it, about halfway through, everything turned red and najia sounded like she was taking damage

Can you link a screenshot? ;D

Hmm...I've never made rainbow soup. I'll check the recipe list and see about this "trip".
-
Eating a rainbow soup while fighting a boss is a bad idea. Unless you want some real challenge :)

Dude, that sounds awesome. I'm so gonna do that for each boss next time I play through (since I'll know how to beat them all, it would be pretty easy anyway). :D

Yup, my trip started out all happy and giggly but it went all wrong half way through.
Guess it's the guys way of saying "don't do drugs kids!"

Another extra something in the realm of cooking: Make yourself 8 sea loaves, then experiment as much as you want with cooking. Failure won't waste any materials since you already have 8. Although I'd say it's more practical to just go and find all the recipes the normal way.
-
are you sure that works? i'm pretty sure that loaves over the maximum would just be discarded
-
8 sea loaves to not waste items has been confirmed.
-
yea i just realised it <____< .... wow
-
Yeah, the code checks to see if there are 8 of a food made before allowing you to cook the thing in question.
I guess it could make an exception for sealoaves...
-
Give me 20 sea loaves or so and I could host a damn good party.
-
I'd rather have 20 or so rainbow soups...now THERE'S a party.
