Title: Spoilers, maybe?

What is the blue gem on Naija's neck in the menu screen? It isn't there in the beginning of the game, and I can't recall at what point it appears but it does so without any explanation.

Either that, or I missed the explanation.

it's the li necklace.  compare the symbol on it to the symbol for li's song.

I wondered a little before I realised it was to do with Li. What really puzzled me was: does it do anything?
I thought for quite a while before I thought, "Wait a minute! She said he developed a taste for aquarian creatures/food! I can feed him to make him do cool stuff!"

Unfortunately, no, you can't feed him. As far as I can tell the gem is solely aesthetic.

He will eat berry icecream. Haven't tried other stuff...
