Title: A word of thanks from a fellow dev
Post by: Urfin on December 15, 2007, 03:12:45 am
I'd like to thank you, Alec & Derek, for this wonderful pearl of a game. I've had my share of work as game dev, so I can appreciate just how much work a game of this size and quality is for a a 2-man team. If anything can be called a feat and a masterpiece, Aquaria is it.

And a very special thank you for resurrecting for me the atmosphere of Ecco, which I love dearly, and mixing it with Metroidvania so well that Aquaria can truly be called not simply a good clone, but a synthesis and evolution. I've bought the game without second thought, and I do wish you guys good sales - you deserve them.

On a side note, is there any way to extract the music from the game (seeing as there isn't a soundtrack available for purchase, which I'd gladly buy of course)? I'm really itching to have this music in my playlist :)

I just love this game too. Such a good combination of styles.

I'm thankful to them for making a game so good I can get into it without all the crap that comes with games like GTA and the other 'badass' games that come out.

And I think they plan to release a sound track some time soon-ish. ;)
