This game is too fuckin hard so early....The maps are big, no pointers or clue on what to do next....The enemies ( small & big) are so agressive and suck your health down quite fast...The whole mouse clicking thing is kinda achy and not so synchronized (hell not everyone has an X360 pad thingy), I went to Mithalas and tried taking down that one-horned Dragon freakshow, but for health reasons, I couldn't take him out >:(, so I figured that I wasn't supposed to be there yet ( If there were pointers, I would know that before-hand wouldn't I?), Now I'm in Kelp forest, but I have no idea where to go, the place is huge and I keep getting killed. Naija's voice acting is cool (that Jenna chick is hot), but I must say that she leaves the gamers clueless on the next course of action after each monologue....Don't get me wrong, this game is freakin awesome...love the score a lot, but there's a lot left to be desired...I hope this can be fixed in upcoming installments...I don't see a patch fixing this problem...It's looking like I'm gonna need a god damn walkthrough...Talk about taking a little joy from the whole thing. I need directions guys....I've got the energy form and I'm in Kelp forest....what to do next? Thanks.
-
Umm, you sound like you're doing just fine to me... If you really want somebody to hold your hand, just go and read up on the spoilers littered around these forums. :)
-
If you tink this is hard, play Eternal Daughter (freeware, partly made by Derek Yu too). ;)
No seriously, I was first in Kelp Forest but died to often, then I went to Mithalas and after that in the Kelp Forest and then it was okay. I play with mouse and my fingers haven't hurt until the very last part of the game. Did you have the right tactic to kill the boss in Mithalas? Because shooting alone won't help...
-
If you're into using the keyboard for games like I am, then you might want to try using the WASD keys for movement; I've found I can maneuver/dodge much better. It might help you stay alive longer.
The whole point is to not know what to do; just wonder around until you figure it out. That's how gaming originally was anyways. What do you do next? Keep exploring! If you really are stuck on the Mithalas boss then take a look around at other threads which explain how to beat him (hint: it doesn't involve shooting his head).
-
It does involve shooting his head, but that won't kill him. That only makes him step back to the left side...
-
aye, well said.
-
Actually, I believe the hint was the big statue, if you went all the way to the right then, taking a few turns and heading back on path, you'd end up at Mythalas.
-
Home Waters <Mithalas City/Cath < Kelp Forest < The Veil < The Abyss < The ice veil < Sunken City < The body.
That was the order i did and it went perfectly. I have all the treasures and 12/13 recipies. The Cathedral boss isnt hard once you learn his strategy. None of the bosses are really hard. Just takes some time.
-
I don't get it... why the hell is everybody complaining about no given directions...
I mean - this game is an exploring game... it was said 2 years before that it's going to be an exploring
adventure and that exploring is very important and so on and so on...
Now tell me where is the sense in an exploring game if you get directions or clues...
That wouldn't be exploring. And It's bull that mithalas is too hard in the beginning. I did it before I entered kelp forest
and the veil... and I had no probs ( except the boss... but after 1 hour of brute force and many aggressions later, when I realized he's not to beat with only shooting - it was very satisfying to see that son of a UnicornT-RexMutant die )
what I wanted to say: this is an exploring game...
so if you don't like exploring on youre own, ask youre mommy to help ya or don't download this game.
To complain about a not existing finger that tells you where to go next in a FREE exploring game would be like complaining about a missing love story in DOOM.
by the way - I love that you have absolutely no clue where to go to next, if anybody didn't notice ;)
It's just like back than on planet Zebes, there weren't any clues either
-
...
On principle, I agree with your point that bitching about having to search for stuff in a game about exploration is not very thought-through, there is some merit to the argument.
The solutions aren't always very intuitive. I personally got stuck on the sitting-on-the-throne- part and the diver - seeing as both of those obstacles prevented me from getting features required to keep going, I spent a total of at least 5-6 hours searching every pixel of areas I'd already explored (I beat almost the entire abyss before even entering the cathedral). While it is a very nice game, this gets very tiresome after awhile. This would all have been easier if there existed some (possibly optional like in the Metroid Prime games) hint system that provided a less subtle clue of where you needed to look after you got stuck for awhile - figuring out the diver and throne thing wouldn't have been as hard if I at least had known where to look.
This doesn't make Aquaria bad, by any standards - a lot of other games do it (and while I do think that Game Design has generally improved since the original Metroid, there are more modern games with the same problems). You can just go to GameFAQs if you get stuck in mainstream games.
-
I found out quite by accident:
If you are on the map screen, the wheel on your mouse will zoom in and out (much like mapquest) and I think if you hold down the right mouse button, you can drag the map (also like mapquest.)
-
Couldn't agree more, Mull. It's my only real complaint about the game, actually - there's not enough feedback given to tell you what to in certain points, as a result, you spend too much time lost without any idea what to do. Free exploration is only really fun if you feel comfortable in your environment (see Knytt Stories), if you don't know what you're doing you start to worry that you're in the wrong place or that you've missed something.
Then again, maybe I'm just bitter because I hit the Time Paradox bug >:(
Anyway, to be fair it didn't happen to me that often. I wish I'd known about Li though.

I know the procedure to take him out...using the bloated frogmen and the move song so when he sucks he inhales them, I do that 3 times, the problem is after he inhales the 3rd time, when he becomes very angry and looks sort of blind then he starts shooting all those monstrous heavy-duty bolts that hone in one me...Dodging without a health soup ain't easy.

I was never a fan of WASD, is there a way to configure direction on keyboard using the arrow buttons?
Another thing that pisses me off is the fact that some difficult fast-moving enemies keep re-spawning when you visit the same area over again....even after you defeated them before...Kinda cumbersome rewriting the wheel if you ask me...Fun game though....just a tad bit frustrating at the moment..

I actually found it quite easy to dodge all those shots. If you just pick one corner (of the available space of course) and SLOWLY move to the opposite corner, you should dodge all the bullets and they should all hit a wall, before you run out of space to move. Piece of cake :D
-
There are two full-health-items in the tunnels before him. and I used the jellyfishes in the one cave (they respawn) to get some oil to make cakes and healing poultice (I had a lot eggs and leaves).

yeah, i'm tired of hearing people complain about being lost in adventure games, isn't that the whole point? I always considered that the only bad thing in metroid was when they made metroid fusion and zero mission so damn linear. although, zero mission turned out ok in the end, since it had such amazing sequence breaking.
And all you guys must be holding the mouse wrong or something, i barely play games on my computer. But, after nearly skipping all my finals to play aquaria constantly, my fingers have never hurt. Well, except for when i nearly punched through my wall during the lobster battle in all the bubbles.
-
Its funny, I added the charge system as a reward for people who didn't like button mashing.
(you can charge up, do wall jumps and time the release of shots to release a ton of powerful shots at once)
Explained in a few places on the forum already, actually.
But yeah, if you're looking to be lead by the hand everywhere, this game won't do it. Its a stylistic choice.
-
A ton? I thought the maximum was 6. >.>
-
Well not 907 kg.
But yeah, in general swearing and throwing things around won't make a game any easier FYI.

If you pay me a ticket from your just-earned millions I visit you and yell at you whatever you want!

I'd say it was more like being back inside the Castle.
-
Was it this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=0ktjiExyHXg&feature=related) angry German guy that was yelling at you? ;>
-
... sorry dudes, but that guy on youtube doesn't speak german.
(oder spricht der nen akzent den ich absolut net verstehe :o)

I'd say it was more like being back inside the Castle.
...I would say it's the same - only that on Zebes there were no spoken word... in the castle there was.
but doesn't matter if castle or zebes - same amount of clues - nearly zero
but metroid invented this total freeroaming adventure style and castlevania just copied it *ducking and running away*
c'mon fanboiz - I wanna see some blood ;D

All I can say is that if you find Aquaria obtuse then NEVER EVER play the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy text adventure!
As I've said elsewhere I loved the fact that the game let you make your decisions on where to go and you found out what to do through exploration and trial and error. Although it could at times be mildly frustrating when you explore somewhere and you find your path blocked I think the game never let you get too far away from where you needed to go, so the backtracking wasn't ever overly long. It's tough to find the right balance but I think Aquaria has it more or less right. Even though I did waste a couple of hours when I had completely missed spirit form and couldn't get passed a lot of areas I still found a lot of treasures, so even then my time wasn't entirely wasted!
-
I actually don't mind that the enemies respawn, it means you can gather more ingredients. Also save points heal you fully so make use of that (So long as you don't quit the game, you can use them to heal and all enemies you have defeated on the level remain dead). Apart from that take it slowly so you don't end up with too many enemies on screen at once. And make use of the different shot types.

Yeah but it's surprising that some of the enemies are pretty difficult and move fast at such an early point in the game, making backtracking a thing to be dreaded in some areas of the maps..Also that save crystals mentioned by Mandrake 42 are far and in between but that's ok...The save crystal location system was properly balanced...
-
The only real beef I've had with the difficulty is the save points, which I just hate in general.
But as far as finding out where to go, I've never really had many problems. If you spend hours just wandering around looking for things, like I have, then you get a general idea of where everything is at and, more importantly, what areas are blocked off so that you can go back with the appropriate power. If, on the other hand, you try to just get through the game, you end up leaving a large amount of area unexplored and, consequently, don't know where to go.
Of course, the fact that I browse this forum daily has doubtlessly had an impact on my knowing where to go, so maybe I'm just full of it.

Try using the shield to bounce the shots back at him. You have to keep recharging the shield or he will blow through it in half a salvo, though.

Protip: The '9' key does the shield spell.

Huhh!!! What shield? Btw I've already taken care of the fallen Mithalas god....pretty sad story....but seriously what shield?

Hey I need help...I try turning the clock-like mechanisms in the Sun Temple....the instructions I'm given are to left-click on the mechanism and move the pointer clock-wise but it doesn't work....Stuck there
-
I missed the message the game sent the first time (was busy fighting for my life) so couldn't figure it out for a good while. You're supposed to "roll"... click your move button and then spin around in a circle really fast by moving the cursor around Naija quickly. You'll get a little water ripple effect if you have framebuffer effects on. This will spin the devices.
-
You could also use the key R i believe.
-
R + holding the left mouse button. Very good to stay in place...
-
This doesn't work!!! It's so weird....Naija clings onto the clock-like mechanism, I hold on to the left-click mouse button and I roll clock-wise and counter-clockwise really fast, but nothing happens.
-
Don't attach to it, just stay close. Your object is to spin the water around the thing, not the thing itself physically.
-
Ok...figured it out...thanks, now I raise the water level and I seem to be stuck...I get to a room that has a huge fish in the background, but it's a dead end...to the extreme right I get to a room that has a blue crystal....also a dead end....Any takers?

But yeah, if you're looking to be lead by the hand everywhere, this game won't do it. Its a stylistic choice.
Fair enough, but there is some middle-ground between providing few to no hints whatsoever and being "led by the hand everywhere".
I am not saying the stylistic choice is bad in any way. Heck, I'm not even saying that a change in this area would improve the game for most, but by providing the option for the player to get a more direct clue of what area to search next, you could make the game more accessible without actually alienating any of the people who prefer to search out everything by themselves.
-
Yeah, right now that option is the forums. :)
-
Well, actually, no.
People will get way too tempted to quickly press the help button when they're stuck, instead of swimming around in the game towards places you haven't been before.
The game gives in my opinion enough tips and helping things to let you continue. Statues, The Gods, Naija's voice, short cutscenes.
And also map icons. (The ones that are there anyway)

yeah, 99% of this game is in the small visual and audio clues
only time i got stuck was with a particular boy, and all that took was a single word to spark my mind

Thanks

How do I get this helmet in the multiple water bubble area in The Veil just past the Turtle area?
http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/image.php?c2e0228230.png (http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/image.php?c2e0228230.png)
-
You can't jump high enough normally. Maybe it will work if you are a bit faster?
-
Already tried that a zillion times....Just when I'm about to break out of the bubble, I pres the boost speed and the highest she can go is "almost"
-
there are more ways to become faster. You need Boost speed, Beast form and something else...
-
one thing that I got stuck was when you have to use bind to take the pearl from the statue. I dunno why I didn't think of it but I didn't realize you could and I was trying to go into energy form and I accidentally did the bind song and I was like ohhh so that's what you do lol. I think that was the only thing I really got stuck on so far, but then again i'm still only a few hours into the game
-
Lol, Xiagan, it's been said multiple times in this post and more times in this forum, no actual need to keep it secret anymore. And this IS labeled as spoiler, right?
Anyway, Mavor, eat something that makes you go quicker, like hot soup.
-
Lol omfg. for some reason I thought I tested eating hot soup and dashing out of water and I didn't get higher... I guess I was wrong. I managed to get the helm though. By scaling the overhanging cliffs with nature form. Man was that hard. I'm kind of glad I did it that way though because it left me with a great sense of accomplishment. I also got to the top of both shafts before the sun boss without raising the water first ( a similar doh moment when I beat him and learned I could just swim up there). For another great accomplished feeling after a bit of frustration, I made it to the broken window above the sun boss from the outside ^_^. Which brings me to my next point thats a little more on topic.
If this game was easy, and/or you always knew where to go where would that sense of accomplishment be? I love that there is no hint system. Beating the game with all the momories etc, without reading this forum required enough willpower as it was. If there was an in game hint system I would have read it long ago and regretted it. I love that there are save points, and they aren't scattered everywhere. Ever try to play WC3 or TFT campaign in hard mode? It's actually very easy., save every 5 minutes. every battle owned np. The only thing that I can think of to appease the people who want to save anywhere so they can play casually or whatever, is a system that allows you to have one save file that can be saved anywhere, but it clears itself when you load it. Either that or some sort of 'hard-core' system that penalizes you for dieing. Oops I wrote way more than I meant to.
-

Wow!!! Go figure....Thanks a lot....currently in the abyss..will go back to the veil and try it lataz..... :D
-

Glad I'm not the only one (although when I reached the top I just fell, which was vastly frustrating! Not wanting to go through that again I wandered around a bit and raised the water level). I guess I'm just a glutton for Prince of Persia style wall jumping!
-
Shiiiit-son. What you need to use is some royal soup, not only will you reach the bubble, you'll go through it and into outer-space! :D
-
I don't have third cooking slot yet besides i don't have recipe for royal soup

Hey does anyone know how to kill the eye boss in the Abyss who shoots pink squidish stuff and shoots three rotating beams? Also how do I pass steam? I have the Sun form now and I figured that was what I needed, but apparently not...
-
Hey does anyone know how to kill the eye boss in the Abyss who shoots pink squidish stuff and shoots three rotating beams? Also how do I pass steam? I have the Sun form now and I figured that was what I needed, but apparently not...
You have to shoot the giant jellyfish in the eye, plain and simple. It has a protective shell around it, that only has a small opening and starts rotating once the eye got hit. Just time your shooting right. You'd also be advise to switch between beast and energy form constantly, to get rid of the small jellyfishes he spawns. It's an optional boss, though.
As for the steams, you'll need to explore Mithalas a bit more. Although you need to defeat the Kelp Forest and Mithalas boss first.
-
F*ck this optional boss....he's too bloody hard....I'm getting the hell outta here...I figured that I need to be able to pass through steam to progress through the abyss, so I need to get back to Mithalas...:D right? Men I feel like a wimp.....I normally play games without walkthroughs.....hell if anyone can play Tomb Raider 3 without a walkthrough, then you are not mortal....I did....Dunno what's come over me these days....Guess I'm too busy with work to take time to figure things out...:(
-
It's worth beating that Jellyfish, trust me!
I couldn't do it using the songs to change form but using the number shortcuts to flip between beast and energy makes it easy (especially since the little jellyfish he spawns give you a health boost).
-
Forgive me but why the heck is it worth it...Care to enlighten me?
-
Forgive me but why the heck is it worth it...Care to enlighten me?
Well, you get a Jelly costumes, which keeps healing you if your health drops low. It doesn't heal you completely, but you'll learn to love it at certain bosses, specificially the last one.

Crap....I thought there was an easy way out....Guess I have no choice but to tough things out....btw I think it sucks that only the energy mode has a potent offensive xteristics.....
-
The boss is not harder than the other bosses... I wonder how you managed these.
Beast form has an attack and you can shoot in it as well. You can attack with a charged nature form action and you can eat a swamp cake to became a poisonous fish. You see, there are a lot of attack options (not all useful for King Jelly) - It would be totally lame if every form has a potent attack...
-
For God's sake this $hit is bloody tough....alternating between energy form and beast form trying to put out those little devils while dodging the 3 beams and aim for the eye through the opening....Looks like this part was programmed for hardcore gamers...What were you guys thinking and what exactly was your gamer's age target for this game? I'm kinda curious about that.
-
Yes!!!! I take all that back....i finally f*cked up the son of a ...... Persistence seems to be the middle name of this game
-
Congrats!
-
Thanks mate :)
-
Hey I throughly explored Mithalas but all I found was a Mithalan dress....am i missing something? I need to be able to pass steam.
-
You need Nature form for that. Go back to Mithalas when you have it.
-
You need Nature form for that. Go back to Mithalas when you have it.
huh? you need beast form to get into the area where you get spirit form, not nature form.
-
Ah, the second entry, yes... I was only thinking about the entry from the western side, not the one from the southern side... Sorry. ;)
-
Yeah I know....I have nature form
-
the Jelly-Boss is too frickin' hard for me. Can't defeat him with either mouse or gamepad, the little jellies and his beams always kill me quite fast.
Do I even have to defeat him or is he optional (and propably gives me a new pet)?
-
He gives you a new (useful) costume, and yeah, he is optional. About tips how to beat him check page 5 in this thread.
-
Hey men I've been on this Mithalas thingy for almost 3 hrs now and I've pretty much explored everywhere...I have energy form, sun form, beast form and plant form....I need to be able to pass Steam....I believe I need this skill to progress in the abyss...What am I missing in Mithalas? What I'm I looking for? All southern areas seem to have been explored by me....Everywhere's white
-
.I believe I need this skill to progress in the abyss...
No you don't. Fish and spirit form are completely optional.
But, if you really want to know,
In Mithalas (not the cathedral) go to the top left of the map, you need Beast form to get there. There you should find a save point and a house with a bulb inside. Use nature form to open the bulb and you should reach a chamber with a side-boss.
-
After reading the last page I have two questions:
1. How do I shoot in Beast form (I know what button to hit - right mouse -, and I did shoot already in it, but it doesn't seem to work anymore)?
2. How exactly can I quickly change between forms? (edit: forget that question, I just found out)
-
1. How do I shoot in Beast form (I know what button to hit - right mouse -, and I did shoot already in it, but it doesn't seem to work anymore)?
You need to eat something that shoots first (not completely true since you can shoot other things, but close enough). You'll have a limited amount of shots.
-
I was pretty frustrated myself. The whole sitdown in the chair, the whole "light stone" in the sun temple using it to see in the dark.
My problem is, is i think things are way more complicated then they truly are. This is why im becoming a scientist and not a computer administrator. :P
-
This game is great playing a few hourand its definately not too hard. Ofcourse sometimes you'll get stuck, but since you love the game, playing a few hours extra in'ts exactly boring. I wanted the game to last much longer than it did.
I searched every corner, got every recepy, form, pet and costume and completed the game in 22 hours. I wish it was 100 more hours now :(
If you come across a problem and get stuck for a while you have to change the way you think, look at different angles and just try a bunch of new stuff. Then if you still cant figure it out, look at the minimap, see if there is any place where you havent searched yet.. the answer might lie there. This is the fun part of the game ;)
some people ask questions too early and want nothing but completing the game..
-
Unfortunately some of us do have a life.
That's all very nice, but there's a very thin line between hard and frustrating. I myself got stuck countless times, and being able to play only a couple of hours or so every day, it becomes terribly frustrating if you spend all that time trying to do the same thing.
-
that was low, im not going to take it to that level.
gl with the game.
-
What was low?
Look, I agree with you, that is the correct way to play the game. However not everyone has the time/patience to play like that. Games are about fun, and personally I don't get any fun if I have no idea what the hell I am doing wrong, I got my job for that.
-
Can somebody please help me with mithalas, I need to pass steam ok...what is it with this forum anyway? You ask direct questions and people give half-hearted answers.....I clearly attached the word "spoilers" to the title of this topic...Jeez!!!
-
What was low?
I dont know, maybe assuming that I had no life? Those discussions rarely gets anywhere..
and mavor if you want spoilers look around in the forum abit, you can find the answer to all questions in those threads, and usually you just have to take a look at the title to know you are at the right thread...
I think people don't want to spoil it completely to those who dont know how to do certain things, only help them on the way so they can solve it themselves. It feels much better if you solve it yourself:)

Dude...not meaning to sound like an a$$, but I do have a job and other things to do....I've spent over 4 hours trying to figure what I'm missing in Mithalas and still no luck....This is a great game and a good piece of work...so I won't call those 4 hours a waste of time....but there comes a point where I gotta say enough is enough..now I come to the forum for help and someone can't even give a straight answer....I attached the word "spoilers" to the title of this topic, so if someone like you who doesn't wanna have your fun spoilt...seeing that you have a lotta time to dedicate to Aquaria, you shouldn't have even clicked on the thread seeing that the word "spoilers" was part of the name....So it kinda ticks me off when some people come here and go on and on about finding things for yourself, keeping the fun. blah blah blah.....Spoliers is an English word....not Greek....no offense meant.

ok so where are you stuck. You need to get the last coin looking piece which you find in the bottom tunnel at the begining of the cathedral. Bind it and drag it all the way to the middle throne in the throne room, then sit on the middle throne. Then move on.
-
Mavor, you want the form that makes it able to pass steam, right? The answers are already in THIS topic. There is a cave in the upper north with an entrance on the west side, accessible with Nature form and an entrance to the south which is accessible with Beast form. You have a map and see which areas are grey and which are white, so it shouldn't be too hard to see the grey area in the north. ;)
-
The cave in the upper north on the west side has 2 steam jets blocking it....I assume we are talking about Mithalas Cathedral here and not the palace map area before it...also the entrance to the south using beast form leads back to the area where I defeated the one-horned bease god....So except my own copy of Aquaria was designed differently, I'm kinda puzzled here and perplexed to say the least.

What was low?
I dont know, maybe assuming that I had no life? Those discussions rarely gets anywhere
I don't know what amuses me most: The fact that you could have screwed me back then (in fact, I expected you too and I would not insist the point) or the fact that I could screw you right now.
If it make you feel any better, I wasn't trying to be insulting nor was I assuming you have no life.
And... sorry for me going so horribly off-topic

You don't need to reach the bubble to get further right, you only need to get up the ledge. You can do that either by following the trail of bubbles from the very left of the area, or by jumping up the ledge directly - jumping up directly can be done without any speed boosts whatsoever but it's easier if you have at least +1.
Also, if you have so many forms chances are you should go to the abyss.
-
I've explored every part of the Abyss.....all that is left is a blocked door with a sorta wing symbol on it that I can't pass

The solution is in the Veil. I'll give you the details below if you don't want to keep looking on your own.
...
in the west part of the veil (that is, the part you enter from open waters), you can find a diver swimming around. He's sort of right of the center, in the open parts of the water so he's kind of easy to miss but if you look for him you'll find him. Chase him around and he'll flee into a cave. Keep chasing him until he's cornered, then use bind to steal his helmet.
After this, you can go to the bottom-left part of the abyss, to the big locked door, and open it by swimming up to it and right-clicking on it.
-
Yeah that Li guy, I met him....but do I need to take his helmet? I bind it all the way to the abyss?

No, once you have gotten him to follow you, he can be summoned anywhere by simply playing Li's song. He'll also appear right next to you anytime you enter a new area.
-
Funny, I try playing the song, but he never shows up
-
I sing Li's song and he doesn't appear....I then went to Li's cave in the Veil and I play the song, but he doesn't even respond...he just keeps swimming about in the cave with his helmet on...Is this a bug?
-
You have to take his helmet away first. Nothing will happen before you did. And playing a song you haven't learnd yet is pretty useless...
-
I learnt the song....I cornered him to the end of the cave and she removed the helmet, then the cutscene where she kissed him....I did this 3 days ago....
-
He won't follow you while wearing his helmet.
-
Can anyone pls help me out...This Li song thing for me is really weird....I learnt the song....on the song menu screen she has a blue crystal with the Li song symbol on her neck, but anytime I play the Song, Li doesn't show up
-
He won't follow you while wearing his helmet.
Then how do I make him remove the helmet?
-
If you have all forms and spells you can have without Li, plus the rotating that are 9 actions you can try. Some are a priori excluded, like shield or energy form. Is it so hard to try these ~5 actions that it is more easy to exit the game, post in the forums and wait for an answer? Not to think that you already had lifted his helmet once (otherwise no cutscence and no Li-song).

No offense, but I don't understand a word of what you just typed....Could you pls read it yourself?
-
To make it short: Naija hasn't endless options what she can do. So it shouldn't be so hard to figure out how to remove the helmet. Try one of her oh so many songs. Maybe the one you used when removing the helmet the first time.
-
Heck, she even says "shell". She can hardly get more obvious as to what to do :p

Yeah I tried using bind whenever he swims by me at the cave and it doesn't work....I also tried the Li's song and he doesn't respond and come over
-
You tried right click to?

You have to corner him <.<
She will CLEARLY say when it is time to remove his helmet. And he won't move AT ALL during that time.
-
Right-click on Li? No i didn't try that...Lemme do it now
-
Yup I right-clicked on him and it worked....Thanks....I'll take him all the way to the Abyss now to that door....when I get there I just right-click on the door right...Also if I want Li to stop following me and go back to the cave, what do I do?
-
Yup.
You can click on his helmet again and he stays there (helmet is in your home cave soon). But that won't help you, because you need him from that door on and after opening it, you can't stop him from following you.
-
Thanks man....you are very helpful
-
also, in the frozen veil, you may find that you have more trouble with the bubbles if you go fast, use a slower form and take your time so you don't overshoot the bubbles
-
Yeah I've already conquered the frozen veil....I'm in the sunken city now with Li....thanks
