Title: Is this fish path just here to torment me.
Post by: lecarl on December 13, 2007, 05:21:48 am
This fish path exists in your home.  Normally that section is dark and it has a strong current which requires beast form so it's impossible to get to as a fish as far as I can tell.

Swim down in beast, hug the wall then switch to fish with the number key, and pop right in.

Does that actually work?  I've tried to get in there a bunch of times, with no success...

I still can't get in there.  What's in it?  Is it just an exit for some other fish path that I haven't noticed?  I have all the stuff in the game.

I tried that before, didn't work.
The current's too strong.

I didn't try it, but what about dragging the rock here just over the fish hole.  Like I said, I did not try it, so maybe it is impossible.

I tried that but with no luck.

I tried it with no luck too.  What about +2 speed for this little fish ?

No, it doesn't work either.

Try using the hotkeys.

3 for beast form

Hug the wall and when you're at the very bottom. Press 6 to change into fishform and continue hugging the wall, hopefully you will slip in.

Or is the current just tooooooooooooooooo strong? o_ô

If it's the same place you guys are talking about, the current is way too strong. The minisecond you hit 6 you are half way back down the corridoor.

Perhaps passion and a burning spirit will allow you to prevale. >;O

...

Oh hay, have you tried using the spirit form, or does it not work that way? D:

There's no way you can get in there. :(

I reckon the other end is probably more accessible, if only I could find it!

Has anyone even got in there? Cause it could be that it's just a place that misses a stone tile.

Hmm, if you look carefully it does look like there is a suspiciously out-of-place vertical border, possibly usggesting that it's just a map edge... Who knows?!

the devs do. ;)
I tried it too but wasn't able to come in. Maybe it is really easier to find the other side of the tunnel. (If it IS a tunnel).

I think this isn't even intended to be a way for the fish form.
There's a similar small hole on the left wall just beneath the entrance to the sun-temple-like part of Naija's cave and you can't enter it either.

I think that too. On the other side, most maps/forms are mirrored in her Cave and you need most of the forms to reach all places (no spirit and no last form) except of the fish form...

yeah.  i'm pretty sure it's just a missing tile.  if it is a missing tile, they should throw a tile in there in the next patch just to prevent future treasure hunters from being bothered by it.  when I first saw it, I really hoped it was a deep, dark secret that led to a room containing scandalous photos of the developers but alas, I don't think it is anything.

That's what they want us to believe...   :-X

if only there was a way to open the original game up in the editor and remove that current...

Or, like, just look what's beyond there. ¬.¬

Definitely seems not to be a fish crack to me. I tried blocking myself in with a rock and the current was still to strong to get down there.  There were a couple of other times in the game where I thought there might be cracks and there wasn't though they weren't quite as large and as blatantly fish crack looking as that one!
