Title: Where to buy Aquaria DRM-free?
Post by: Silverhawk on May 17, 2013, 12:59:54 pm
Hi,

where can I buy Aquaria DRM-free (not Steam). The buy site from the official site is down and Plimus really sucks.
So why don't the developers Koffer this game on Humble Store, Desura or GOG? I know that Aquaria already was in a Humble Bundle and now I regret not buying it there.

As you've probably seen in this topic (http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=4370), there is no way around steam currently. Yep, the buy site has been down for ages by now.
You can get rid of steam at least, it's also been described there. So if you have the option, get it on steam and patch it free afterwards.
My guess it that the devs are busy with other things and don't care much anymore, but that's just me. Most income is probably made on the iPad app store (and soon android market), so why care about the other old stuff? *sigh*

Note to self: Look at what happened to game of thrones when people wanted to buy the DVD but it wasn't available. To reduce piracy, make a game easy to buy and run. Just sayin'.

It's in Humble Bundle with Android 6, available from today for 14 days.
