Help...I'm stuck in the Energy Temple and can't find how to get out. I go all the way to the bottom with the lions on it but all the exits are blocked. I am thinking something is supposed to be done with the illuminated ball in one of the lions that I passed earlier but I can't remove it. Can someone help me?? >:(

Okay, where to start...
Yes, you can't remove placed orbs, but this is not necessary. I.e. you can't lock yourself in.
There is a way down blocked by 2 doors, and 2 orb holders, that's the way you want to go. The first orb is easy to find (up and right), but the 2nd one requires you to go quite deep into the temple (the way is strightforward imho, just go past the corridor with the flashing energy barriers and follow the way along, on the way you'll see the orb/pearl, unreachable behind a pillar. To reach it from the other side, follow the way along further.
After you have opened these 2 doors, you may refer to this topic (http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=4251.0).
From there, it is very quick to exit the temple.
(Slight spoilers: Oh and don't mind that last closed chamber and the red plant you will see just before getting out, it's for later)
Is that enough to get you out, or do you prefer screenshots? :P

Sorry...I am still confused. I have beaten that first boss and have the Energy Form. Now I am heading into the tunnel and I come to the place that has the tower with all the lions heads and the blue lasers that you can't go through while using the energy form. There are 2 orbs in statues at the bottom but the entrance on both sides are blocked. Hope I make sense.

you need to concentrate the energy form attack to activate the pearls/orbs. (hold shoot button 'till it flashes orange-ish) direct the attack towards the pearls, they should glow orange once hit
minor spoiler: you dont have to go into the blocked off areas at the bottom of the tunnel. there is an exit near the right side of the wall
