Recently watched PJ Jam 1, and liked it. Thought it was easy to transcribe, since it's only one instrument, but no. Here's a two page sampler of the first two minutes of the song. It took me around 11 hours to sequence, so who knows when I'll be finished. At least one good thing is I can actually see what notes Alec is pressing (only half the time, though), so it's going to be as accurate as it's going to get. I stripped out errors and variations, so it'll be slightly easier to play. Download below.

The song's probably not going to play at the exactly right speed, since Alec plays faster and faster as the song goes on, and I have no idea how I can make MuseScore speed up the song without abruptly defining a new tempo.
Excuse my rhythm entry, as I haven't read my piano theory books in ages. I'm pretty sure what I did on the line with measure 27 is not allowed. And my pedal lines are not straight. I blame MuseScore for that.
Have fun with it. I welcome any suggestions and corrections.

Thanks.
I was looking for good music to listen to on my HDD and found the Aquaria folder. Sounds even better than I remember.
I didn't know about the pajama jam so that's another great one to listen to (and play some of :D ).

Awesome!
Have you finished transcribing it? Not to sound like a jerk or anything, but wanted to know if you have had any progress so far...
-
Nah, sorry. I've been busy with other things. My most current sheet music is Under Cover of Night from Halo, and once I finish that I'll see if I can update this and The Traveller.

As the video on Vimeo is now seemingly gone (here's why (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1063919/Screen%20Shot%202011-10-26%20at%2011.27.38%20AM.png) / see also (http://gamedesignreviews.com/scrapbook/how-vimeo-lost-me/))...
Was cleaning up my harddisk a bit today and found i had downloaded it earlier, so i mirrored the original video (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22111385/Aquaria/pjjam1.flv).

Woot, thanks for the mirror. :)

Hey Alec, do you have the source video still somewhere? A higher resolution version would help.
Sidenote: It's actually harder to transcribe this piece because of the damper pedal and the background noise. I think I can do something about the noise in Audacity, though.

Hmm unfortunately all I have on hand right now is this mirror.
The original file is probably somewhere on some computer... O.o I'd have to go on a treasure hunt to find it.
