Ok, so thanks to Steam adding Steam Guard to their system, I was forced to reinstall steam. On top of having to reinstall all of my games I also lost my Aquaria save data. Is there any way I can get this data back without having to replay the whole game again?

Unless you installed into a different folder I'm not sure how you'd lose your save data if you merely reinstalled Steam, since it should just be in the same folder.

Since when did Steam Guard break your Steam? Didn't you have a valid email address? Anyway, if you uninstall Steam using its installer, it will delete the entire Steam folder, including steamapps. So unless you have a backup of your saves somewhere, you're out of luck. (Where's Steam Cloud when you need it?)

If not so much has changed in your filesystem you can try some undelete/recovery software, there's many of them available freely on the net.

Ah, my bad.

Right after it was added anytime I tried to log in i got a message telling me that steam couldn't connect. The only way I could fix this was to reinstall.
