Title: Don't laugh, but . . .

I cannot for the life of me beat the mollusk boss.  I can't even figure out if I'm doing anything to him.  My strategy so far is to swim around, avoid the little guys, and blast away with the Energy Form, but his shell seems to be impervious to attack.  Am I missing a trick?

He shell is invunerable to attack. Hit him in the tenticles  :P

He's actually completely optional, feel free to leave him for later if you cannot beat him now.

The super tip that makes this fight 1000x easier is: Check your surroundings before fighting him, and remember you have songs other than Energy Form :D.

My advice:

Don't bother charging your shots, since you can get more hits on her if you just rapid shoot.
Those blue jellies down there will always drop some health, so kill one if you're hurt.
When she's about to die, she'll turn red and go nuts on you.  Be prepared.

Take notes that any bosses, when they get red (meaning they got low HP) usually get mad on you and are a little harder. ^^

What is a mollusk? I think I've defeated all bosses and now u say this boss is optional, so maybe its in a hidden room. Someone please tell me the reward for killing this so i can know if I've already done it. I have all pets and all artifacts so i doubt that I've missed anything.

They are talking about Nautilus Prime. When you have all pets you must've killed him. And the "hidden" room is next to Naija's home cave. ;)
