Title: Stupid question: green links (possible spoiler)
Post by: Theogrin on December 10, 2007, 03:42:31 pm
Gotta love the silly questions...

So I've just completed the Cathedral, and now I'm at the point where I'm really, really wondering what those nice, green links are on the map.  Obviously, I know what they mark - those spheres with plants around them - but I have no clue how to _use_ them for their obvious purpose.  Nothing I do seems to open them; am I missing something, or is there a way to open/access them later on that will become evident?

You will later get a form of Naija that can open these things. They'll act as shortcuts and passages to other parts of a map.

Ahh, and here I was hoping you could use them to link quickly between any one... >.>

Thanks!

What kind of form do you need?

Welcome to the forums, Nyx!  :)

Just a heads up: this thread was last posted in on December 10, 2007. If you see a message saying that the thread has rested in peace for 120 days, it might be a good idea to start a new one, or make a forum search instead. Nevertheless, you need Nature Form to open them (found in the Kelp Forest).

Unfortunaltly it does nyx, especially Xiagan when he reads the full post before noticing how old it is  ::)

Welcome to Bitblot :D

what? Why me? I mentioned that somewhere? did I? Nowadays I scroll the page down until I see a post 1-2 days ago and start reading there. ;)

I personally don't think it's a big deal. If he had started a new topic you all would have suggested a forum search, so what's wrong with posting on old topics?

I am not sure either Chrissy but it does iritate , perhaps sometimes they just want some threads to die and vanish? lol

Old topics are easily found with a forum search - that's part of the justification for being irritated. However, there was one guy who I complimented for gravedigging The Widescreen Thread.  (http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=916.0)

I saw that and yes that was a good reason to dig lol

Actually, the only bad necro-ing that exists is when people do not give any extra information, only a worthless response to something. A question like this should be okay, even though it is probably answered in a lot of other topics.

Yeah, well. I always check the date on a thread. And I get that it would irritate if someone just answered to an old post without bringing anything new, but the question I asked was vital if you didn't know how to solve the green links situation.

AND! I'm a girrrrrrl.

Not because she isn't completely female. Just to make things less awkward... we are on the internet at least. ;)

Liiiike 55?

But it is a girly game.
Do men really play this? I would have thought they needed a machine gun, sword or something like that.

Diamonds and spheres of fiery energy, crushing boulders, and gaping jaws  are great replacements.  ;)

You should check out a long discussion that we had going a while ago on gender stereotypes in game audiences (http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=1369.0).

Oh hush you Chibi, I don't think I've seen a single topic that's at least 2 days old where you have been off-topic at least once.

Happily enough, I never debated in that topic.

My favorite comment in the gender ramblings here was that Alec has the manliest chin ever.

How about I pretend to not have a gender at all, just to further confuse the situation?
