Title: Well it seems as if I need... more help... err

I have been wondering around in the abyss for like a very long time. I don't know how to get past stream vents, and I believe I have explored everywhere that I can that is not blocked off by pearl barrier (which I can not find the pearl for) or steam vents.  Any help is appreciated.

As always the responses may contain spoilers... duh.

If you've already completed the Cathedral/Mithalas, it might be worthwhile to go back and check out those gray areas on the map around there. :o
