Correct forum would've been support, either way... are you sure you clicked the right link, and have you tried copy pasting the link properly?

Hi there,

Email me at chrissy at infiniteammo dot ca with your name, the email address you bought the game with, and your original order reference number and I will reactivate it and we'll see if it works.

Ahem. Spambot. I've seen a similar post on the 2D Boy forum, and fell for it too. Aquaria does not need activation because it's DRM free.

it's remarkable how lifelike spambots have gotten in recent times compared to how they were ages ago

I always wonder where the sense for them is in posting without a link to something...

I have to ask, why don't we get some better protections put in place so this forum doesn't get plagued by so much spambots? I have literally never been on a forum that had THIS much trouble with spambots.

Because it's barely visited anymore?

Though if it isn't at all it'd be nice if the forum would die in peace and not be drowned in spam.

That's a negative view to take, have you considered that all the spambots might drive away new people who would otherwise legitimately join?
