Title: problems with whale song and bind song

you guys have probably seen this all over the place, but as I went for the right exit of the part of the kelp forest that has the fish cave, a medium sized super fast yellow blob animal thing started to run from me. i didn't want to kill it yet so i waited. then it ran through the exit and i never found it again. so i want to know what that thing was.

Plus those multiplying shrimp guys. are there supposed to be so many that they start killing themselves?

have you guys seen creatures that disappear?

The yellow blob is "Coward". You can get some good items from him. The better ones have lower chance, but he'll be back every time you go there. He's fast, but if you go around that area a few times, you'll see him. He's not very strong so you can get him with a shot or two, even if he's just off-screen.

Those multiplying shrimp guys - Yeah I've seen them get out of hand before. The last form you get is good to clear them away.

Disappear? Like Coward? Or like the octopus which goes invisible?

well I've gotten to the whale now and I sang the whale song all around it. but nothing happens. and no symbol appears after i play the song.

Sing it right in front of the whale. And make sure that you're doing it right.

What about the ghost boy?

well i tried that and it still doesn't work. the whale must be dead.

Try singing the same notes in reverse order?

That tends to be a common mistake in the Song Cave, so it probably carries over here.

never mind I died. I'll just try again later, and watch a video of it to make sure I'm doing it right.
