Title: Help! - Stuck at very beginning

I'm at the very beginning - I explored the character's home and the song cave and now I have no idea what to do.  There are a bunch of areas on the world map that are blocked off by rocks, but I can't find anywhere new to go.  Oh, and nothing turned up that would open that gate in the song cave.  Please just tell me the next step -  it's frustrating to get stuck so early on - and leave as few spoilers as possible in the responses since I've really just started.  Thanks!

Go to the right most lower bottom in the song cave, further instructions are there.

If you missed the hint: you have to sing the song that's written there at the closed door.
