Just something I thought of earlier today. I've seen plenty of lists where it says "You know you're obsessed with _________ when..." and thought it would be pretty funny and cool if there was one for Aquaria.
This is open to suggestions, since there's plenty of ways that you can show your love for this incredible game.
Here are a few to get you started:
1) You randomly start humming the Open waters theme whenever you're commuting in real life.
2) You can beat Simon with your eyes closed.
3) You TRIED beating Simon with your eyes closed.
4) You memorized every line in the game.
That's all I've got. Your input?
PLEASE NOTE: If I'm doing something that's not allowed here, by all means just tell me. I'll see if I can get it removed...

This topic should probably be in off-topic, but I suppose it'll be moved.
5) You have played this game so many times that you don't need the minimap.
6) You collected all different Ruhk eggs.
7) You listen to the Aquaria OST cd for over 6 days non-stop.
8 ) You make a nude mod, hurrhurrr

During the time period that I was playing Aquaria, and for a few months after, I would hum the theme from time to time. (although I do this with other songs too). Also, I got Geneforge 5 shortly after finishing Aquaria, and my character was a blue-colored Agent named Naija (If you've played GF and seen the agents you'll know what I mean ;))
More to the list:

When underwater, you try to get around by clinging to a rock, and pushing yourself from one rock to the next

Got a few more:
When you actually ENJOYED going through the Gauntlet.
When you try to dress up as Naija for Halloween. May apply more to girls than guys.
You bent over backwards to get translucent pink fabric (assuming it exists) for the aforementioned costume.
You recommend Aquaria to everyone in your school/work place. Even those who don't play games.
You're comparing yourself to this topic to see just how obsessed you are.
"Lost to the Waves" is your audition for the school musical.

I don't see why you couldn't enjoy doing that without being obsessed. A game is a game, after all.
You transcribed your battle with King Jellyfish for your writing class.
That battle was actually pretty uneventful. I just kept screaming at him until he died (wish I had more opportunities to use that phrase in proper context). Now, if you transcribe your battle with The Creator for your writing class, then I'll be impressed.

... you played the demo for 10+ hours the instant it came out, then started the game over twice or more times (demo to 1.0.3, 1.0.3 to 1.1.1)

Okay, have a few more...
Most people act sick by putting a thermometer under hot water. You act sick by putting purple food coloring in a bowl of soup, drinking it, and acting poisoned.
You accidentally called your girlfriend "Naija".
Your lunch consists of a steak wrapped in lettuce, with a brown sponge cake and a bowl of soup to wash it down.
You find yourself defending the game to a friend of yours who played it and claimed it was stupid.
You look at the one above and think to yourself "Hey, that happened to me last week..."
You have a secret crush on Naija, and fantasize about killing Li so you can have her.

I actually haven't heard the name Naija anywhere outside of aquaria, but now that you brought it up I am wondering about how the characters from that show would react to her.

I know Naija's an actual name somewhere, can't remember where.
As for Spongebob-verse reactions to Naija, tough to say. I haven't watched the show, but from what I know Naija might come in, see some random aquatic creatures, and decide she wants sushi. She'd blast Squidward and Mr. Krab for rubbery meat and crab meat, bind the shell off Gary and kill him in the hope of healing poultice, and wind up killing Patrick by accident because he was in the way. She would then wander off, leaving Spongebob to mourn over their mangled corpses.
Then again, mine might be a more twisted version. Happier ones are always welcome.
