Just got my OST (http://slashware.net/blog/?p=819) after almost a month of waiting :)

The package is great, I expected no less :P

Since there was a picture of Alec in the package, I thought "why not?"

This is also the least "gay" frame in the right size that I can find in the house.

(Oh, my. I must go get a rag or something. I have some dust to bust!)

I'm actually laughing in real life at that photo frame of Alec. Epic.  O0

Alec has such a serious expression - it's as if he's contemplating the meaning of life. Life... is a flower-decorated chrome and glass frame.  :o

Finally the OST crossed the great ocean! :D

And thus mine did too.
With added bad lighting:

Ze back of ze poster:

And finally I was a bit shocked to learn that my cd case was cracked, on 3 different (http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3175/picture36n.jpg) spots (http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/2601/picture37b.jpg). :[ (one crack is on the back)
They're tiny, but still cracked.

I wonder if Alec was thinking: "Oh this was the little prick making a nude mod of MY game EH!?" *smashes the CD case*
Even though I know Alec would never do that, right? >.>

...right? D:

Nuuuuuooooo!  :'(
We don't ship out any that have even the tiniest of cracks (a few came to us from the factory a little busted), and I really thought the bubble wrap would do the job :( sorry to hear it Alpha

It's ok. I was scared the CDs would have cracks too, but they play perfectly. :D

Sorry to hear about the cracked case, but I'm glad the rest it survived alright! :)

Fortunately a cracked case isn't too hard to fix... you should be able to pop it open and swap all the printed stuff into a pristine case.  8)

Finally, after 6 weeks and two  days, the last day of 2009, I got a package from our mailman!
(http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4705/package2.th.jpg) (http://img109.imageshack.us/i/package2.jpg/)
I didn't expect it to arrive before 2010, especially because Christmas season means total chaos for our Dutch postal system .

(http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6536/netherlands.th.jpg) (http://img403.imageshack.us/i/netherlands.jpg/)
No.. thank YOU!  ^-^

Some others show blue cards, what are those? Those weren't in my package, not that I care, I finally have the OST  8)

I think you're referring to the Blurst (http://blurst.com/) postcards.... we were using any and all indie game print materials we had at our disposal for signed editions, and sadly we ran out of Blurst cards really quickly.

I'm amazed you had the restraint to take a picture of it in its lovely shipping packaging! I would've torn it open immediately (I love mail)  >:D

Which tracks are in that OST actually?

Could you list the tracks, please? ^^
I might be buying it!

Um...all of them?  =p  Plus some new stuff.  A new song from Jenna ("Fear the Dark"), some remixes, and a preview for Marian (the latest game from the Infinite Ammo crew)

It makes me strangely happy that the game and booklet come in a ziploc bag :D  It took a while to ship, and the website wouldn't track like I thought it would, but I'm very much enjoying it :)  Thank you, Alec, for such a beautiful soundtrack!

Ugh  >:(

[not link]

Fourth/Fifth result down in a google search of Aquaria OST.

I'm so disappointed that this kind of stuff appears so soon after the release. On the first page of a google search no less.

EDIT: Also, it's  directly above the link to this topic

EDIT 2: Good point Alpha  :-\

Agreed. Pirating is bad, especially for independants like Infinite Ammo.
Just ordered my signed copy. Looks like it was the last one, too. Was having problems with my credit card before that, but that's all fixed.

I just got my OST.

Pictures later when the camera is charged.

[EDIT]

O_O

The wait was worth it. Every second.

For that (you guys at IA know what I mean); I'm not just going to post pictures. This will be as epic as I can manage.

Any odds there will be more signed editions of the OST? I'd love to buy it, but... I kind of wasn't here when the OST released and now I'm out of luck, I guess.

I'd gladly pay $10 more for that~

Man, I bought my copy in December and it still hasn't arrived yet.

What's up? :(
Title: Re: Aquaria OST received pics
Post by: Alec on February 03, 2010, 12:00:23 pm
If the shipping is international, (Canada -> someplace that isn't Canada/USA) we've found that it can take up to 10 weeks, especially if shipped over the December holidays.

So far we haven't had any lost orders, just a number of really slow ones.
Title: Re: Aquaria OST received pics
Post by: Vetehinen on February 04, 2010, 12:04:04 pm
That is what I can confirm. I had no idea internal shipping could take that long so yeah, I had *some* doubts too if it has gone missing or something.  Shipment tracking isnt available so you cant see where the package is. For example, it took 2-4 weeks for one package to arrive from USA if I remember it right. But well, it was a foolish panic in my case and at now I have now some experience  ;)

For example, 14th of November I made my order,  19th of Nov it was shipped and 1st of February it arrived to Finland. But there has been reports of ships being stuck in ice in Baltic Sea, no wonder it was delayed (it was a "shipment" after all!)! ho ho ho..  ::)

(edit, wrong month)

Yeah, I think next time we may upgrade our shipping options a bit.

Got mine a few days ago. I've been busy, and haven't been able to post the pictures yet (need to use my laptop that has the SD card reader). But I was overjoyed to receive it.

Looks like I got a different kind of package. I didn't see  the bit-blot cards and such. BUT, I have some beautiful pics from Marian.
Title: Music importing best format
Post by: NeatNit on February 26, 2010, 04:29:53 pm
I don't know exactly how on-topic this is, but I couldn't find it in searches and it would be a very short topic if I make one.

I want to import the music from the CD to MP3 on my computer. Now, I'm clueless about these things - at what bitrate and, well, every other setting, should I import to make the filesize as small as possible without making it sound any tiny bit worse? Honsetly, there should really be a program that sets those things for you by now... I've found none :(

Oh, and, to stay on-topic, here:
(http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/559/dsc00099h.th.jpg) (http://img687.imageshack.us/i/dsc00099h.jpg/)
I ordered two        I put this together with my 1337 non-existant photoshop skills             I'm a ghost and took the stuff out of the package without opening it          I used a time machine.

I'm hoping mine is a slow one, rather than lost (ordered non-signed ~9 weeks ago).  Will hold out for another few weeks  :-\

Australians: we've had ridiculous delays to your country, all around.
If you feel it's gone beyond a ridiculous delay and into an impossible delay, please email me at chrissy at infiniteammo dot ca and we can discuss what to do about it :)

Wahoo!

It has finally arrived!

Jeez, that was a long wait. According to my PayPal invoice, the order was finalised on the 29th of December, and arrived today the 29th of March. 3 Months, eesh.

Edit: Damnit, the postal service cracked the jewel case of the CD. :(

Edit: Unboxed!

Eh, my father once recieved a (large) package he bought on ebay that had been caught up in the postal system for more than 10 months after he got shipping conformation from the USA so it isn't THAT surprising...but I agree that relying on cheap post in future to countries outside your 'landmass' may not be wise  ;)

Don't worry about the Jewel case, I'll just go buy another one for like 20c :)
