Great Googleymoogley....
I know this may sound like an exaggeration...
But I now feel that my life will never be complete without a sequel. That was right up there with other more famous emotional moments in videogaming history. As in "the death of Aries" type moments. :'(
Bravo, sir. Bravo. :)

Never get tired of these threads :)
-
It's so strange, I can't explain it. It's been a few days now, but I can't get it off my mind!
I now fund myself recommending it to just about evryon i see.
Oh, and you DEFINITELY have my $25 for the OST!
-
Nice to see that another person loves the game and spreads the word.
-
Death of Aeris was epic.
Aquaria is epic too. ^-^
-
the continuation will?
-
I'd like to add that it's been a couple days since I finished the game and it's still on my mind, quite possible the most addicting game I've ever played. Please keep in mind that lots of people would love to play a sequel when you have the time and motivation to continue the series.
Oh yeah, Marian looks awesome.
-
For me, Marian is a way to continue playing around with the themes introduced in Aquaria without having to do a direct sequel. (which would be problematic for a number of reasons)
-
List them? >_>
Either way, I do agree. In the long run... I don't think it's wise to make a sequel right after, it's better to get some fresh inspiration again without being limited to one concept or idea.
Play with new things, figure out other.
-
I smell someone will do an april's fool day joke about a sequel someday.
Something like AQUARIA WARS: Naija's revenge.
A sequel of aquaria as good as it sounds is hardly a good idea now.Time is needed to have a good story following this,an for making new gameplay mechanics. It's better to make totally new games and ideas.Usually industry try to fabric franchise and as much as i love aquaria i feel by now marian is the best path.
-
I love the way Aquaria plays right now, I wouldn't want to see the game mechanics change to drastically =p
The game has code already in place, I think it should be added onto and refined personally.
-
Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd want to play as a guy swimming around everywhere after getting used to Naija. ():3
Yes that was a sexist comment, live with it. >:O
-
I just had to post on these forums after finnishing the game. 2 words
OH, MY!
last time I played such an intreguing game must have been the first time I played Ocarina of Time or something.
It's just that good.
Oh and it would be a criminal offence not to do a sequel, Period. :D

Registered here a long time ago, but this is my first post. And I finished the game about a year ago, after picking it up as soon as it debuted for Mac. So I feel like I'm a little late to the party, but yeah.
This game is my all-time favorite, hands-down, and it's one of the few games I can call truly beautiful without reservation. As an aspiring game designer, I see this game as proof that the form can really aspire to great and wonderful things. Lately, the music has been haunting me (possibly due to the soundtrack launch), and I've realized that I need to play through again. Even though I already know the ending, and how painful it is, particularly since there isn't going to be a sequel.
So yeah. Hello. And while I'm here, how's the modding community?
-
I'm lazy and haven't made much. (besides a... "sprite mod")
TheBear and Yogoda have made an awesome mod.
I'd suggest going HERE (http://aquariawiki.ryanballantyne.name/wiki/index.php/List_of_Mods).

I finish the beta-linux 2 days ago ...
This was one of those games i couldn't put down ...
Duno what to say ... one of those games that is to good, and leaves you with an awkward feeling for a few days.
(That means you did a good job.)
Keep them coming !
