Title: Aquaria for Mac
Post by: Wenzor on October 11, 2009, 05:32:37 pm
Recently I got a new MacBook because my old PC won't boot anymore, does that mean I have to buy a new version of Aquaria and pay $30 more? or all the serial numbers work the same

It's another distributor (Ambrosia Software), so alas, you have to buy a new version.

Are you sure the activiation code is not independent of platform?  I know that I recently had a problem with another game, where the solution was "download the app from a different site than you got your original, and overwrite."  Apparently the stored preference file in my library, containing my activiation key, was adequate for the new download.  Though I guess the key might in part be a hash of some hardware features...

Unfortunately there's no way to transfer a license between PC/Mac platforms.  :(
