Title: How do I map shortcut keys onto the D-pad of a gamepad?
Post by: Joey245 on May 17, 2009, 02:16:07 pm
Hey all, I'm new here, and this is my first post.

I just bought Aquaria a few days ago, and have absolutely fallen in love. I use the Logitech Dual action gamepad, for smooth control and the fact that all the buttons are in one place.

My question is, How do I map the shortcut keys for the various forms to the directional Pad? I'm getting tired of constantly having to stop and waste time singing. I especially had trouble with Mother Nature, which is all about changing forms fast, simply because I wasted valuable attack time trying to get into energy form.

Could someone help me? Is this easy to do?

Again, this is with a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad, and for Windows Vista.

Thanks in advance,

Jeoy245.

Well, you could just get good at singing, but barring that, slap one of the number keys on your keyboard when you need to switch form.

True, but it's still a hassle to do. I have Aspergers Syndrome, and part of that includes having slower movements than average. It's a real pain in the neck, and it's also a pain on my hands. Besides, I still need to take my hand off the joystick, try and find the appropriate key, then put my hand back on the stick. it takes about five seconds, and i was almost killed once when I did this against Mithala.

I'm sure there is a way to go into the setup code and assign different key designations, but I don't have the knowledge or skills.... I know somebody from a European country recently had a similar question regarding mapping the numpad keys to their country's keyboard...
I'm sure someone will be able to help you with this....
