I just solved the problem that i was having with aquaria version 1.0.3
i've updated my driver to the lastest there is ( 9-2_vista64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_75977 )
at first it wasnt working it still had the framerates at 0.1 fps but the crashing was gone YAY !
so now i went to the catalyst control center ( right click desktop in case you didnt know )
now go in the 3D settings and check the box Triple buffering under Open GL.
Also disabled Catalyst A.I
if you have a sound issue , make sure you didnt use any compatibility in the properties of aquaria.exe ( like windows98/ME ) if you use a multi-core processeur...
At first the game was working but i had sound issue, i double check the aquaria.exe propertie and saw that it was set to windows 98/ME compatible mode , so i unchecked it , and Voila !
Game is working flawlessly with a nice 60 FPS ( Vsync ON ) ~200 FPS ( Vsync OFF ) no sound issue at all !
BTW some useful info...
PC spec:
AMD Phenom 64 Quad Core 9650 (2.4ghz)
4gig ram OCZ
Sapphire HD4850 512mb ( catalyst v 9.2 )
Realtek HD sound onboard Chipset
Windows vista 64 home premium SP1
Aquaria version 1.0.3
Visual options
- Fullscreen
- VSync
- FrameBuffer Effects
- Mipmap
- Resolution 1280x960

I hope it helps...

What kind of godly monitor do you have that lets you run 400 FPS with vsync?
-
I want a HD video of you spinning Naija in the water, even though my computer can't handle the FPS...
I honestly hope you mean 40 though.

my bad it run with a smooth constant 60 fps with vsync ( thats the cap can't be higher than 60 with Vsync on )
when i turn it off the game runs fine too , with a 150-250 fps range.
i guess i've measure my 400 fps with the opening Screen ( where it usually was 0-1 fps )
