Title: Enter Mithalan House = Crash

A very distressing thing is happening to my Aquaria game: Whenever I try to enter a Mithalan house, the game crashes. The weird thing is, this didn't used to happen, but it is now, and I'm not sure why it's changed all of the sudden. And before anyone asks, yes, I did make sure that I had the latest graphics drivers installed. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Alec: I tried it in version 1.1.1 and the 1.1 beta; no difference. I'm gonna email you the debug.log and usersettings.xml files from the beta (which presumably would have more info than the 1.1.1 version).

I'm necro'ing this thread because I wish to report what I did about this, in case others are also experiencing this problem. I copied my saved games and mods to a folder on my desktop, uninstalled and reinstalled Aquaria, then put the saved games and mods back. This fixed the problem.

I have the same problem. When I come near this entrance (?) the game always crashes.

Using a german Win XP3 (up-to-date), playing in windowed mode @1280x800 with a ATI 4850 (drivers also up-to-date).

I'll try re-installing now.


EDIT: Ok, re-installing and a restart solved this strange bug. :)

I'm glad you solved it by reinstalling, I wouldn't have known what else to do. xD

It would've probably been some kind of corrupted script through installing or downloading, though curious that this happened someone else.

one thing, did you go into other sub-maps like an abyss whale before,

or just the mithalan houses crash
or only have been in a house?

The whale is different than than the Mithalan houses, it's a separate map, the mithalan houses teleport you to a different spot in the map.
The only thing that it could've gone wrong on too was one of those blue teleport bulbs that were in the same map, they have a separate script, but the steps being taken were the same. Though personally I think it's a corrupted script somehow.

I wasn't that far in the game at the moment, so I only had the error when entering Mithalan houses. But like I said, a reinstall fixed it. :)
