It is actually possible to obtain the health egg in the Kelp Forest without the nature form. It's a less straightforward process, but it works so smoothly and is so obvious once you've seen it that I expect it was designed this way.
There are some plants nearby that create seeds that will open the pearl plant. After that, it's business as usual. This may already be known, but I couldn't find it searching the board and the information isn't in the strategywiki write up. Everything I've seen says to use nature form to do it. Which is fine and all, but the other way is more fun. :)

Nice little info that I'm sure will be help to some if they catch it before they get to that point. :)

Heh- I was actually rather disappointed when I discovered that Nature Form could open those flowers. It seems like such a cheat...

I tried to do something with those plants but nothing happened for me so perhaps I need the updated version once I have finished my present game.

As I recall, they only drop seeds if you burst past them.

That is correct. And I believe they're destroyed if they go too far off screen.

the first time I played this happened. the first form I got was beast, so went up along the left hand side where those seeds were released, I quickly followed them down and found one of the red plants opened with it's pearl inside and wasn't sure how it had happened until reading about it later on. it had been discovered at that point but it's still a rare and random occurance that if the game unfolds that way then so be it!

I mean that even though I got the seeds to sew plants, none of the red bulbs opened for me ::) Sorry I should of made that statement clearer.

They die quickly any way delve :(

Okay, which plants are we talking about here? I'm not aware of any plants that spawn seeds. Aagh! Now I gotta go back and play it again! :)

They spawn the same plants that Nature form does Robert, they are not really seeds ;D

Go to the line of red pearl plants in the Kelp Forest. Directly above them is a fast current, follow that current backwards up a passageway and take the left fork. As you come out of the current there is a series of little pods on strings attached to the ground.
As you dash by those pods, they'll release seeds. Or plants, or flowers, or whatever they are; the main point is that you can follow them through the current and eventually one will drop on a pearl plant and open it up. Saving you the need to come back later with Nature form.
