Alec, you made me laugh so hard.  ;D I love the contrast between Naija's good-natured naivety and Li's justified skepticism. Ksleet captured the moment perfectly!  :)

I just noticed something - it really should be Granddaughter Naija, because Eric (the little boy) is her grandfather.

She doesn't know that at the time, though. Eric's not related to her or Mia, in any case. He just created Mia because he was lonely and wanted his mother, or more directly, he wanted the love his mother gave him.

Lol, really? Take another look. Li (correctly) never says anything at all. xD

Nice comic too. I wonder if ksleet checks these forums..?

Right - I missed all the ellipses except the one in the third box, and read it as a reluctance to join in the celebration. Ksleet should join the forums and make a thread for the series.

Haha. Nice.

Yeah, it'd be cool if they joined, and then could see how much we like the comic. :D

Hey, this is Mark, the guy who drew the comic. I ran across this thread while hunting down some hints and just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words, and glad you liked the comic!  ;D

Hi Mark, I love it your comic is great and your name seems to ring a bell, have you ever been a member of Elfwood by any chance? :D

Thanks for making me laugh, Mark! You should post it in the fan art section; I'm sure Alec would be willing to give it a spot on the fan art section.  :)

Ah HAH!  I thought I recognized the art style; it's Mark, of illustrious A Miracle of Science and Afterlife Blues illustrated fame!  I downloaded the demo based on your recommendation under AB 47, and then completely forgot where/who had recommended me to it.  Drove me crazy for a while, since I could've sworn it was Penny Arcade that mentioned it.  And now, after finishing the game and exploring through the forums I see the fanstrip by you, and it all makes sense now.

...

Thanks for the recommendation!

Also, folks, if you like his art, he's co-worked-on one completed online comic and is in the process of another, the two mentioned above.  The first one is excellent and the second one is shaping up to be, as well.  The comics:

A Miracle of Science (http://www.project-apollo.net/mos/mos000.html)

Afterlife Blues (http://project-apollo.net/ab/ab001.html)
