Title: Safe do delete setup?
Post by: ChimeraThing on December 07, 2008, 08:12:22 pm
Is it safe to delete the aquaria setup, because its taking up 202 mb of my comp, and i want to have space for spore.

Why?  :o  :'(

But it's your computer and your life I guess, I would prefer Aquaria to Spore any day, that programme is over rated in my book. So if you really want to lose a great game for a second rater then you can delete Aquaria but you might need to buy it again if you want it back. But I'm sure that someone else can advise you better than myself?

Just don't is my personal opinion, first make sure that you really haven't got the space for both....

Oh no, Aquaria is 100 times better than spore!!!! Spore is overrated  and the concept itself surpasses the gameplay. i just wanted to see if deleting the SETUP would affect anything.

It's save to delete the setup if you don't want to install the game somewhere else someday. It won't affect the already installed game.
Maybe burning it to a disk is a better idea? You don't know when your computer will die.  ;)

Spore is definitely overrated and overhyped: it seems like Will Wright developed Spore's theme really well at the expense of gameplay and story. Although shorter, Aquaria provides a perfect balance of the individual elements. Such experiments are needed in the gaming world, but they often disillusion players.

Not yet, AFAIK.  If you have the mad hookups, that would be sweet! 8)

BTW, today is the anniversary of Aquaria's release. Happy Aquaria day, everyone.  ^-^

(also the anniversary of Pearl Harbor... unfortuntaely enough!)

woot! happy birthday Aquaria! and a dvd burner or external usb hd is a good storage plan. I keep all my install files and then when I go to format one of the things I do is have an install list and just go through it with all my fav apps. in today's mass storage era you shouldn't have to delete a 200 mb file w/o archiving it first :)
