Seems like it would work great with the stylus. Maybe over xbox live as well.
-
The only problem: processing speed. The DS just simply can't handle it: if my 1.5 gigahertz laptop couldn't, then the handheld definitely could not. The alternative would be a pixelated version that would butcher Derek's beautiful artwork. Also, Aquaria needs at least 800X600 to look any good. Ah, well. Maybe on the future iPhone ;)
-
Well Alec did show us a neat little tech demo vid that I think was running on the DS (might have been iPhone) and it looked good. Naija was a chibi.
-
Oh ok. Never saw that one, do you know where it is?
-
No clue. You could sift through every post Alec has made looking for hyperlinks.
-
Ouch 1600 posts and counting. Guess I'll just see if he answers this one. ;D
-
Unofficial inside information: I don't think a DS version is planned. Sorreh...
-
What does "sorreh..." mean? I love learning new jargon. :D

Ah, not really new jargon, just a cutesy way of saying sorry. ;)

Thanks for doing the dirty work smashIt! :) The tech demo actually looks pretty cool, although the loss of Derek's beautiful artwork greatly changes the feel of the game. (Not necessarily for the worse, but definitely not for the better imo)
-
as you said it's only a demo
but i'm sure alec would beat castlevania- down of sorrow in both grafics and sound :D
-
Yeah, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow seems a little sub-par when compared with Aquaria, but probably sold exponentially more copies. It's music is a different genre than Aquaria's: for example, though classical is vastly superior to rock, more people gravitate towards the baser music. ;)
BTW @ Alec: do you know how many copies of the Mac version have been sold? (My guess is four thousand, though I'm hoping it's more) ;)
-
Nowhere near 4000.
-
Nowhere near as in thousands more? *sighs* :) Yeah, it is a little too early for an indie release.

Yeah, see how this game would work great with a touch screen. The DS is a haven for the 2D genre of games, would certainly sell well if a competent version was released for it.
