Could someone (preferrably someone who is a monster or hero bit) list all the promotions and requirements you need to become the highest level? I am but a newbit, and cant wait to become a mere bit. Thanks! :)
"edit" sorry Hiro, I stole the "but a newb" from your signature. But look at it this way: I gave you credit ;)
-
there, your a bit ;) at 10 you digivolve, keep posting to bit up. I can't remember all the 'levels' but it's purely post count, it's a chat-o-meter
-
I wonder if there is a Mega bit and a Giga bit. ;)
-
no? ok, maybe a Tera bit? :P
-
Is it important?
I post when I want and ignore the ratings and promotions, what counts is the content not the box..
-
Good philosophy, I'll take a leaf out of your book :)
-
It's always good to live by a good philosophy, one that allows you to enjoy yourself and doesn't ruin others enjoyment :)

I'm not the kind of guy that just posts so he can be heard. I know some people like that. It's like they think the number of posts they make determines the size of their anatomy...still, I posted a LOT when this forum was young helping, discussing, and speculating over things. I'm not as active here anymore but I still hang around helping where I can. It's just, without a lot left to talk about that strictly pertains to Aquaria I find myself not having much to say.
-
Yes it must get repetative after a while, it's begining to get a little that way for me also, but I still love helping folks so I might be replying to them for a while yet.
I'm old and I get bored, is that a contradiction or what? lol

BTW I was thinking of creating a special forum user tag/status for certain members of the community who have gone beyond the call of duty helping others out, dealing with support questions and being a positive role model.
First I have to come up with a name though. It'd be something like "Community Manager" or "Community Steward". Any ideas? :)
-
I think you should instate a nomination system, where the "fellow members of the forum" choose the best candidates (objectively, of course :D )
You would have to control for corruption: therein lies the problem ^-^ (thinking face)
Edit: need to study the politics of the forum ;)
-
Corruption? He's the admin and he hangs around here as well. If there's corruption about he'll know about it or be the source of it, either way it's not a "problem" is it?
-
It's not important, the amount of posts. That's why I was attempting at making humor of the topic and thread. :) Hence the ;) Face. :D
I definitely agree with the point that's it's not quantity that matters, but quality.

*slaps his face in disgust and yet in shame at the same time* silverflagon, I would literally kick your butt in person for that. I don't care how old you are! :P

Sea
LoafsLoaves would be a good name, because a SeaLoaf is bad for one person, but good for another (namely the moderators and administrators)

A knife wouldn't do me any good, I'm in Sydney Australia right now. Unless I wanted to act like I was in the Crocodile Dundee films, yet it's nothing like the outback and very western cultured. Taking a break today from roaming the city since I had duty last night and didn't get back to the ship till 4 in the morning. Shore Patrol duty sucks, get stuck out in town and watching everyone have a good time yet can't have any fun of your own.
-
DM you will have to do what my step-father did and find yourself a woman in every port lol If you ever come into friendly contact with the British navy you might spot my niece if she is in the same part of the world, 'stranger things have happened' look out for one who's about 6' 2" and has red hair. The last time I saw her it was long but kept in a neat chignon as regulations insist lol
-
6'2" wow, tall woman. :) We bump into the British Navy here and there, but they don't travel around as much as the US does. But I can't say I've seen any women that tall in the Navy.
-
That's nothing her brother is 6' 7" DM, both her parents are tall, and my son is 6' 2". I am 5' 7"and other than my youngest sister who had a heart defect, we are all tall.
But I was being flipant really, it's a big world and like you say, our Navies are rarely in the same place together. Also a ships crew sometimes never even go ashore in some places so just ignore me.
Also DM, thank you for your lovely comment in my blog :-*

Your welcome. :) I speak my mind, and I've like what you've posted on here and thought I'd check out your page.
