Hi everyone,
I am a new Aquaria player from Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
I realy loved the ''cooking'' part of the game because it reminded me of an old adventure game i played when i was young.
It had a cooking interface where you could mix different ingredients in a cauldron to make magic potions that would help you in your quest.
I just taught it might be fun for you game-lovers to try and find out the name of this game...if you are an ''old gamer'' you might find this puzzle easy but anyway...
P.s.: Those of you who think have the answer...maybe you could put it in small letters...not to spoil others :)

Well I could cheat if I had the time to go through all my sons old gaming magazines but I think that I will pass on that pleasure ::) and have a guess on Magic Realms instead?

Nice try Silverflagon...but it is not the game i am talking about...but thanks for the idea :) I think i am gonna try this other old game...
And by the way, if you or anyone want the answer, here it is : The Legend of Kyrandia (1 & 2)

Is the game you are talking about The Black Cauldron? I can also think of a few other games that use this sort of method for making new items. Not necessarily cooking, but alchemy. Star Ocean 1 and 2 ring a bell to anyone? (star ocean 2, terribly cheesy voice acting, but incredibly awesome game to play.) Star Ocean 1 you would need to have the translated version as it never officially came out for US Super Nintendo, and Star Ocean 2 is for the Playstation. I still play both of them here and then again. Definitely one of my favorites among many of the old school Kings Quest, Space Quest, Hero's Quest series. I wasn't a big fan of the Police Quest series though. One game that I love so much for exploration and action is Star Control 2. I still play it alla The Uriquan Masters release. Great Games... ahh the memories. :D

Danger Mouse,
The answer is in the third post, in small letters...and since you seem to love all those old games a lot, i suggest you try that old game for it is definitely a classic and also a very original and ''magical'' game. It is a true ''playable fairy tale''...:)
