Title: Help! regeneration
Post by: flapper on May 03, 2008, 02:45:47 am
I have been playing the game for a couple of weeks now--I am up to the sun temple boss.  I have searched the forum and feel silly asking this, but I can't figure out what veggie cake and other regeneration items do. I would think they fill up the life measure completely or when you die you come back to life in the same place (rather than at the red crystal).  When I eat it, nothing seems to happen.  What am I missing?

It should replenish your health a bit over a period of time. (when you're out of the menu)

you like gain life for a period of time ...
which is quite useful if you get hit or something ...

For enemies that deal consistant damage regeneration is VERY useful.  For some enemies, you get hit infrequently or over time by a number of enemies.  In that situation you want to use a normal healing poultice or the like, because you just want some extra health for later.  But if you're surrounded and you know you'll be taking more damage in the forseeable future, you scarf a veggie cake so you have a cushion and you don't instantly lose all that life you just regained.
