Title: Ghosts in Sunken City/Weird Tree
Post by: Sirensongstress on April 30, 2008, 04:30:23 am
Hi all, been a long time since I've been here or played Aquaria (need to get a new computer still)... but I just remembered a question I had about the ghosts in the Sunken City; there's a little girl with flowers, and I understand you are supposed to do certain things and I got past that part, but I was wondering about the creepy tree that's in the clearing right before you get to her.  In my initial playthrough I herded her over there and was thinking that might be some super secret scary door thing.  That tree just seemed special to me in the game.   Is that going to some how come through in future evolutions of the game/the sequels as something special?

Happy playing :)

Well, I theorize that all the major sections of the sunken city are merely the fondest memories that the creator has of his previous life.  He obviously liked the flower girl, she at least provided him comfort, so I'm thinking the tree was a meeting place he had with her at one time.

Good thought there Glam. I also thought the tree was something significant to the puzzle on my first playthrough and was kinda surprised when it was nothing.

Has anyone found some hidden thing we've missed or is the tree really just a nothing background object?

and i think that if you would put a branch there that if you pull it , it opens a secret door ,
or something ,  it would be awesome ... :P
