My friend James - the genius behind Sorry Everybody (http://www.sorryeverybody.com) (not a trap, I promise) - transcribed the score for this XKCD comic. (http://www.xkcd.com/389/) I am not normally a fan of XKCD at all, but that one is a stroke of genius. I mean, the joke itself is fairly pedestrian, but if you can read music it's wonderful.

If you can't read music, bear in mind that there are genuinely no trap links in this post, and work out why I'd bring it up anyway.

Seriously if you click on the first link you see in a thread about traps, I think  you've kind of got it coming.

I found the javascript a bit bothersome, although I enjoyed the video.

Alec, Derek, is this your position as well?  Should your visitors be constantly wary of potential malice in your forums?

Honestly, would you have been any less likely to click the link if had been to "http://www.nevergonnagiveyouup.com/"? (note that, rather than immediately playing the song, this site instead redirects you to Amazon.com where you can buy it with your own hard earned money. Classy.)

Having been Rickroll'd many a time already, I would ignore such a thing like the plague.

Well, possibly not.

But I definitely wouldn't complain about a harmless browser gag.

Yeah, neither. I used to know those "don't click me" sites which would give you endless amount of OK boxes with text in them, at least they were fun, this is just old recycled stuff. I don't even mind the song.

He told me to get mad at you Zam, but I won't, cause it was hilarious how 150 messages can have so many grammar mistakes, poor bastard.

I get more fun reading the source code to see what the script does then experiencing the script...

People must love the "Disable Javascript -> All javascript" from the Web Developper Toolbar plugin (http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/) on Firefox! (What? Is that a free publicity for that plugin? :D)
